Gallery Bhāva is an independent London-based art and jewellery studio founded by multidisciplinary maker and designer Bhavesh Samji.
The word bhāva comes from Sanskrit and refers to an emotive state or feeling expressed through the arts.
Within Indian classical arts, bhāva is used to convey emotion and sentiment, creating a connection between the artist, the work and the audience. This idea of expression through feeling is central to the studio’s name, which can be interpreted as Gallery of Emotions.
Rooted in Indian heritage and contemporary craftsmanship, Gallery Bhāva creates embroidered textile artworks and handcrafted jewellery that explore colour, materiality and adornment.
Textile works bring together hand-stitched gemstones and traditional tambour embroidery, while jewellery combines natural, hand-faceted gemstones with precious metals to create pieces that are both distinctive and enduring.
Embracing the individuality of each material, every work is made by hand and is uniquely its own. The collections reflect an ongoing dialogue between heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary artistic expression.
Each piece is crafted in the spirit of tradition — passed from heart to heart.
